Despite the efforts of the terrain teams, Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís resorts have decided to postpone the partial opening of ski slopes after assessing the conditions and weather forecasts

The Winter Bike Park at Pal Arinsal and Mon(t) Magic in Canillo will offer activity packages and services starting tomorrow to enjoy the long weekend, while Ordino Arcalís will operate the Tristaina cable car and La Coma restaurant for tourist use

L’Abarset to host the official après-ski season opening with Maceo Plex at Brunch Electronik and a party with the duo Mëstiza

Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís will wait for the snowfalls forecasted this weekend to define the official opening date of the ski season. Although a partial opening was planned for tomorrow with ski runs available in the Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig sectors of Grandvalira and the La Coma area of Ordino Arcalís, the weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, along with terrain conditions, requires postponing the start of the season despite the efforts of terrain teams.

Weather forecasts predict a cold front that will bring snow to all altitudes starting Saturday night and continuing until at least Monday, allowing the three Andorran resorts - Ordino Arcalís, Pal Arinsal, and Grandvalira - to open from next week. Additionally, temperatures next week are expected to be ideal for artificial snow production. A new official opening date will be announced soon.

Opening at L’Abarset: Brunch Electronik and More

L’Abarset, the top spot in Andorra, continues its musical offerings and will celebrate the weekend in style with the first Brunch Electronik of the season this Friday, December 6. Maceo Plex will headline with his unique blend of techno, house, funk, dark, and electro in a session that has already sold out. On Saturday, the Spanish duo Mëstiza will electrify El Tarter with their original fusion of electronic music and traditional flamenco.

Beyond the major weekend parties, this season brings back the “Urban Sounds” on Wednesdays with resident DJs and “San Miguel (never) Chill Thursdays”. Tonight, the Barcelona-based DJ Marcel BS and the funky house beats of Eric Vëlicë will take center stage. Sundays maintain the “Friends & Family (we love) 80’s and 90’s” concept, inviting all generations to share in moments of dancing and fun.

In terms of gastronomy, L’Abarset is reinventing itself with a broader menu, maintaining some of its iconic dishes while incorporating playful and diverse options. These range from appetizers to more traditional sit-down meals. The Goiko food truck will also return, serving gourmet burgers for a quick and high-quality bite.
