Sorteny Valley Natural Park

The Sorteny valley is a fascinating spot with a wealth of history and science and is a great way to learn about the beauty of the Andorran mountain landscapes.The Vall de Sorteny Natural Park, cultural heritage of the Ordino Parish, is located below the Ordino Arcalís ski resort. This year 2024 the park celebrates its 25th anniversary and has scheduled a series of activities for the whole family to discover an exceptional environment where hundreds of species of flowers, different types of fauna and a wide variety of birds live together.

In short, Sorteny is a well-kept environment that guarantees the health of its ecosystems and promotes responsible tourism. It could be said that it is one of the most beautiful and richest places in the Pyrenees.

Make the most of your excursion to the Sorteny Valley to enjoy a good mountain meal in the refuge's restaurant. Outside, a 150 m2 terrace allows you to enjoy extraordinary views over the Ordino valley, combined with a menu that includes traditional Andorran dishes such as escudella or trinxat.

It is advisable to book a table in advance.

Opening times: 12 pm to 4 pm.

Explore Sorteny Valley in winter

Snowshoeing and mountain skiing enthusiasts will find it easier to visit the most iconic spots in the area thanks to the new signposting marking out the circuits for both activities. 

All the circuits are at expert level and can be discovered with the Grandvalira Mountain Guides (GMG), who will be leading the excursions along these new routes. The shelter will become a La Sportiva base camp.
